AERDPS, apart from its regular activities, initiated cultural meet, seminars, workshops at different states and areas especially for weaker sections with the active support from center government in India with a view to promote Indian traditional art and culture, folk music and crafts, history of remote villages of India. AERDPS also trying to get all these traditional art forms under a single umbrella and planned to construct a National Port or Hub in real term in four major metro cities in India.

The spectators and participants will not only witness art being woven onto fabrics a chiseled out of wood or coming into life though brush strokes, but also will interact with the artists and artisans through workshops.

On 15th to 20th November 2012 a mega Event organized in Kolkata at Netaji Indoor Stadium where 16 States Participated. Professionals has expressed and exchanged their ideas and opinions. Celebrities from all corners performed every evening and given whole hearted support and interests for continuing this program. It was a three days mega event promoting folk dances and folk music from difference states in India. The states which participated from India were Gujarat, Maharashtra, west Bangal, Rajasthan, Assam, Manipur, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Punjab. It was a single platform in which all these states had on opportunity to exchange their thoughts and cultural varieties. Bharatiya Lok Sanskritik Mahautsav, is a brand name for every Indian, ranked “Mahautsav” for every folk and classical artists, dream and platform for every rising youth in India.

The first of its kind workshop and forum witnessed the presence of nearly all key executive and creative professionals from the folk culture and its allied sectors from across the country, performance and discussing issues of vital importance to encourage our individual cultural that all agreed was on the threshold of massive growth.

The Bharatiya Sanskriti Mahautsav has brought out hundred and thousand of folk artists and artisans from the different corners and niches of our country and give them a platform along with mainstream celebrated artists an unique attempt. Giving them a similar platform along with popular performers of National and International fame, This Utsav not only saluted and given recognition to the hitherto unknown artist, also boosts their creativity by automatically creating a large market to showcase their arts. Any craftsman of artisan need a market to thrive or else his art or craft slowly faces extinction, as has happened to many a farm of art or craft in our country. The Bharatiya Lok Sanskritik Mahautsav tries to create awareness among people from different strata of life about our indigenous arts, connecting the creator directly to his or her prospective patrons, thus rejuvenating them and creating a constant flow of life force for them to survive.
