Meet the NGO

Aid Organisation is a non-governmental, non-political, non-profitable benevolent, voluntary and social-economic development organisation. Aid Organisation, founded in 1997, was established by a group of dedicated professionals in order to bring positive changes to the lives of disadvantaged people by incorporating methods of sustainable livelihood, safe environment, preservation of human rights, access to clean water, sanitation, hygiene, adaptation to climate change effects, women and child rights, education and healthcare. Aid Organization is registered with the Department of Social Welfare, Department of Women Affairs and NGO Affairs Bureau, the Government of Bangladesh. The organization has Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. The NGO has been implementing various development projects in the Southern Part of Bangladesh. Aid organisation was set up with a vision to empower the underprivileged sections of society by taking a stand for them and providing them with financial and logistics support to bring quantitative and qualitative changes in their lives. They wished for the development of an equal and just society by implementing the SDG goals by the year 2030. Some other focus areas of the NGO include Climate Science, Kyoto Protocol, Disaster risk reduction, agriculture and capacity building. Aid organisation under the leadership of Moniruzzaman submitted a project proposal on Water and sanitation program for climate-vulnerable areas to the Government of Bangladesh in 2009, with a proposal to divide the cost between the government and independent donors equally. Aid organisation combines Science and emotions to deliver their best efforts for the betterment of society.

Moniruzzaman

"Moniruzzaman was elected Steering Committee Member and Regional Representative of WSSCC from South Asia 2009-2011 and has been playing a vital role in the WASH Program. As Representative of ENO-Finland in Bangladesh, he has been discharging the responsibilities of elected Chairman of Bangladesh Climate Change Network in Southern Part of Bangladesh. He has extensive practical work experience in co-ordination, training, planning, monitoring and evaluation, budgeting and financial management of different projects and also extensive field-experience. He has a proven track record in leading and managing institutional development programs. A man with great perspectives, competencies and network for fundraising and donor relations, He has regional and international linkages and a sound understanding of organizational development. Having familiarity with local strategies for poverty eradication and social changes, he can develop rational strategies for building purposeful institutional relationships with civil society, academic institutions, government and business organizations. He can cultivate relationships which enable him to be more influential in the policy arena and foster an environment which promotes learning on relationship building. He has had a position of responsibility in maintaining and analyzing data and ensuring its accuracy and consistency. His strengths also include writing project reports, coordination and developing the process of participatory monitoring and evaluation systems. He also has experience in preparing questionnaires and guidelines, providing support to field staff who implement M and E tools assessing M and E reports and training need assessment. A thoroughly informed individual, he can lead projects to great success.
